Montjuïc welcomes 2025 with drones, music and fireworks
Reina Maria Cristina Avenue will come alive on New Year’s Eve with a show by the company Groupe F, blending music, light and technology in a tribute to Joan Miró and the city’s public artworks.The show will begin in Montjuïc at 9:30 p.m. As part of the tribute to Joan Miró to mark the 50th anniversary of Fundació Joan Miró, some of his most emblematic works in the city, such as the Pla de l’Os mosaic and Woman and Bird, will be featured. Other public artworks, including creations by Joan Fontcuberta and Keith Haring, will also make appearances.
Just before the new year arrives, at 11:50 PM, the Barcelona Batega show will light up the night sky with 500 synchronised drones in a choreography celebrating love in all its forms.
The show by the international company Groupe F is directed by Christophe Berthonneau.
The event is free, with no reservations needed. Attendees are encouraged to use public transport to get there.
