Call for entries for the 25 November Award is now open
Projects working on the prevention of gender violence have from today until 19 September to be entered for the 25N Award, a prize handed out every year to mark 25 November, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.Bearing the slogan “Forging Alliances against Male Chauvinism”, this year’s award aims to provide support for projects working to prevent gender violence in four of the main areas where women and city residents in general carry out a large part of their everyday lives.

- Commerce: shops, shopping centres and hubs.
- Culture: cinemas, theatres, museums, creation centres, etc.
- Sport: sports groups and clubs in the area, sports facilities, etc.
- Education: family and students’ associations, teachers’ associations, leisure organisations, etc.
The aim behind the call is to provide the financial resources to and institutional support for the winning project, which must be completely new or at the initial stage of its implementation.
The award is for the amount of €15,000 and the period for submitting entries is from 1 to 19 September 2022. The call’s rules and other information are published on the 25N Award website.
The award has been handed out since 2005 with the aim of lending recognition to and promoting initiatives that champion women’s rights and freedoms and combat gender violence in all its areas in life. Each edition specializes in an issue or specific public. The sixteen editions have brought about the implementation of projects that fight against cyber bullying, violence against migrant women and assaults in public spaces.
