Mobility disruptions for the performance by Josep Carreras and Sara Baras in Passeig de Gràcia
The show will be offered on a large stage in Passeig de Gràcia on 20 October, at 8 pm, just above C/ València, with thousands of spectators expected to attend. Traffic restrictions will apply in the central road section of Passeig de Gràcia between these two streets, from 3 pm to 10 pm. The adjacent sections of the streets of Provença and Mallorca will also be affected on 20 October. The circulation of pedestrians and cyclists will not be affected as the side lanes in Passeig de Gràcia will remain open.
The central section of Passeig de Gràcia, between the streets of València and Mallorca, where the stage will be set up, will be closed from Tuesday night. Without affecting the circulation of intersecting streets, traffic will be restricted in the central section of the street from Tuesday, 15 October, at 10 pm, until the following Tuesday, 22, at 6 am, when the dismantling work will be completed and circulation reestablished.
The next section of the street, between Mallorca and Provença, will be closed at the weekend, from first thing Saturday to Monday at 8 am.
The third section of Passeig de Gràcia, between Provença and Rosselló, where the show will also be shown on big screens, will only be closed on Sunday, the day of the concert.
Access to underground parking in Passeig de Gràcia will be guaranteed between the streets of València and Rosselló, except on 20 October, from 2 pm to midnight.
Public transport
From Tuesday 15 to first thing on Tuesday 22, bus services 7, 22, 24 and V15 will be diverted to follow routes along Pau Claris and Roger de Llúria:
- Lines 7 and V15: from 10 pm on 15 October to 6 am on 22 October, these services will be diverted along Passeig de Gràcia, València, Roger de Llúria and Diagonal.
- Lines 22 and 24: from 10 pm on 15 October to 6 am on 22 October, in the direction of the mountains, these services will be diverted along Passeig de Gràcia, València, Roger de Llúria and Diagonal. In the direction of the sea, the route will be via Diagonal, Pau Claris, Aragó and Passeig de Gràcia.
The bus-stops in the affected section of Passeig de Gràcia will be out of use, with temporary stops organised for the bus services affected.
As for the Bicing service, two stations will be affected by the concert on Sunday afternoon itself. These are stations 364 and 374, located in Passeig de Gràcia, between the streets of València and Mallorca, and Provença and Rosselló respectively. Neither of the stops will be operative again until Sunday afternoon.
Barcelona City Council advises people to use the metro to get around in this area from the evening of Tuesday, 15 October, when the traffic restrictions begin, until Tuesday, 22 October, when the whole dismantling process will be completed.
