Sílvia Pérez Cruz presents Canela & Alías

Carme Canela and Celeste Alías are two of Sílvia Pérez Cruz’s best friends, and two of the most acclaimed voices on the Catalan music scene. You’ve probably heard them singing jazz, blues, folk or original songs. Their versatility has seen them take part in hundreds of projects and now we have them together, face to face and teaming up with Sílvia. 

Canela is one of the leading vocalists on the Catalan jazz scene and has worked with top artists in this genre. She was actually Sílvia Pérez Cruz’s teacher at the ESMUC and still advises her students to go to one of the artist’s concerts if they want to hear a different kind of voice. Celeste Alías, meanwhile, began on the clarinet but soon discovered the potential of her jazz voice. She is now a beloved jazz singer who has often worked with Sílvia Pérez Cruz and whose many other projects include heading the vocal improvisation project Veus Lliures.
