The house band at Jazz at Lincoln Center, a renowned jazz centre in the heart of New York City, comprises 15 of the finest jazz soloists. This remarkably versatile orchestra performs a wide repertoire including works by Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Thelonious Monk, Dizzy Gillespie and many more. Wynton Marsalis, who will be leading the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra is a performer and composer who joined the legendary Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers at the age of just seventeen and has gone on to become an influential musician in the field of traditional-based jazz.
