At present, it isn't possible to see this musical production, inspired by a really well-known story, but be patient. For the time being, you can get a taste of some of the songs from the show and you'll be able to hear them in a theatre quite soon.
David Selvas is the director of this musical version of the story imagined at the beginning of the 20th century by the writer Lyman Frank Baum, which most of us know about thanks to Victor Fleming's film starring Judy Garland. The La Brutal production should have been seen this summer as part of the Barcelona Grec Festival, but due to the Covid-19 crisis, it has been impossible to get it ready in time. Give this group of artists a little more time, because we will be seeing the finished show during the 2020-2021 season, at the Teatre Condal. However, for now, we can have a good time listening to three of the songs from the show on Spotify, the music platform: Complicada [Complicated], Sou especials [You are specials] and Sabates vermelles [Red Shoes]. If you listen to them, you’ll get an idea of where the show is going, bringing a classic story to modern audiences using elements that connect it with today's world.
