Emerging artists from Berlin, Montpellier and Barcelona speak to us about the fears and challenges facing a generation of young people thrown into the maelstrom of the crisis and globalisation.
Let’s talk about empty pockets, politicians’ speeches, the effects of globalisation. These are subjects that a generation of young Europeans who have dared to cross the threshold into the 21st century and now cast their gaze onto the continent where they must build their future know a lot about. Three professional drama schools, launchpads for new artists, present an international educational and creative project based on three short works by young, emerging playwrights from the partner cities: Victoria Szpunberg (Barcelona), Sarah Fourage (Montpellier) and Anna-Sylvie König (Berlin). Each author worked with a director (Glòria Balañà i Altimira, Pierre Castagné and Olivier Coloni, respectively), and a cast of young actors of their age, from different countries. The result is a production in which everyone is involved and the teams were in permanent communication. What will tomorrow be like? These young people have asked that question, and they answer it on stage in a show that will travel from Montpellier to the Grec before it is presented, finlly, in Berlin.
