A night of fishing aboard a piano-boat will be transportin the little ones to the poetic, surreal and musical world of the late musician and performer Carles Santos.
The pianist, composer and performer Carles Santos died in December 2017, but before leaving us he had time to become a necessary ally to a show that puts his music and his unique world within the reach of children. It will be a man-fish who, in this scenic fiction, invites the audience to live a fishing night with him in the Mediterranean Sea aboard a piano-boat, a musical instrument from which a whole world will emerge, you will see. This instrument will be the main stage element, a piano that beats and transforms itself and which is the beginning and end of everything. No wonder, as the piano was an omnipresent element in the universe of Santos and with it, he created many musical pieces that, while meant to be listened to, they can almost be seen. This is the case of the compositions chosen for this show (from Track 6 to Bujaraloz by night, Armandino 77, La remi la or Tocatico-Tocatà, which gives the title to the show), all of them related in some way to this sea that surrounds and pampers the Sargantaneta, a mixture of boat and piano around which the whole show revolves.
A proposal with which the Grec wants to pay homage to a brilliant composer and which not only vindicates the creative world of Carles Santos, but also aims at introducing babies and their companions into a concept of representation that breaks with the more conventional theatrical and musical forms.
