The author and performer Mauro "Malicho" Vaca will use his biography as stage material in a proposal that takes theatre to a new dimension in which it coexists with audiovisual resources and those provided by the internet. This autobiographical essay is a journey through significant places in the author's biography: from the hospital where he was born to his relationship with his grandparents and the photographs he has of his ancestor. All set in the same place where Vaca was born and where his family has always lived: a town we will walk through during the day and at night, seen through the screen of this great photographic map of Google Earth. In this piece of digital docu-theatre performed on his own by Malicho Vaca, we will travel between the life of the author, the history of his family and the history of his birthplace, all to the rhythm of a bolero that you will surely have heard many times.
The show is signed by an actor trained at the University of Chile who graduated in Audiovisual Production from the Chilean Film School. He is also an oral storyteller and works as director and playwright of the company Le insolente teatre. He has worked in film and television but, with his theatre company, he has created productions such as Boleros de almas perdidas (2014), Los hombres tristes (2016), Mónica: el truncado vuelo de la paloma (2017), Las cosas que nunca dije (2018) and Identidad #83 (2022), recently presented at the FITAM Chile and FIBA Argentina Festivals.
