The exhibition The Literature of Exile, organised by the CCCB, was taken to several Latin American countries –Argentina, Chile, Mexico and the Dominican Republic– on a journey which generated artistic exchanges between Catalan and American musicians on the theme of exile. Developing this theme, the show Vents enllà features performances of original compositions inspired by the works of such writers as José Bergamín, León Felipe, María Zambrano, Luis Rius, Pere Calders and Josep Carner. The show is made unique by the unusual sounds obtained from instruments designed, made from cast iron and played by the Mexican musicians Mauricio and Francisco Sotelo.
