Poèmes d'amour i El amor brujo

A night of high passion, brought to us by some of the most outstanding artists in their respective fields. The Ensemble de l’Orquestra de Cadaqués, an orchestra devoted both to performing new works and reviving pieces from our musical heritage, will play two pieces of Spanish music: Poèmes d’amour, by Isaac Albéniz, fourteen love stories in which the music accompanies poems by the French author Armand Silvestre, read by the actor Jordi Dauder, as we celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Spanish composer’s birth in 2010; and Manuel de Falla’s El amor brujo, a work full of passion, inspired by cante jondo, when the ensemble will be joined by the flamenco cantaora Estrella Morente.
