Opening party Grec Jove

Keep a look-out on the new artistic languages and contemporary creation, as the Grec opens a path to connect with the young and adolescent public. Fifteen shows and participatory activities are part of the first edition of the Young Grec. The Young Grec party will be the kick-off of the activities.

This is an outdoor event, open and free, where everyone can participate: from curious young people, to the most motivated and informed ones, through the spontaneous. It will include a presentation of the program, a proposal of a strong theatrical, festive and summery character and a concert with a well-known group among teenagers and young people. There will be bar service and an information point, remember it well, where you can buy tickets for the festival shows.

The party will be in charge of:

Somsó

This is a batucada group of Poble-sec integrated by some women as energetic as vindictive, with social awareness and a sense for the spectacle. They are moved by music, especially percussion, and the transfeminist struggle.

José and his sisters

The company responsible for the success of Los bancos regalan sandwicheras y chorizos/Banks give away sandwiches and chorizos will carry out a proposal focused on adolescence and youth. It will take the form of a long progressive musical piece, a ritual of passage, the transition from childhood to adulthood, the change experienced by the body and the senses, the awakening to a new stage of life. The intervention was built from the interviews that José and his sisters have made to boys and girls, asking them about adolescence and its meaning for them. The sound space generated will involve the entire opening event.

The proposal includes the participation of a group of fifty adolescents and young people; the musical creations of the actress and performer Glòria Ribera (one of the founders of the company), and a series of textual interventions voice-over.

During the intervention of the company, actors and actresses of other proposals of the Young Grec will present their shows and encourage attendees to follow the program of the festival.

Roba Estesa

Festive and combative music group formed by Helena Bantulà (electric guitar), Clara Colom (accordion and voice), Clàudia Garcia-Albea (violin), Alba Magriñà (drums), Neus Pagès (guitar and voice), Gemma Polo (voice) and Anna Sardà (bass). They have a great projection throughout the territory and their work has been recognized with numerous awards. They fuse urban sounds and folk melodies in live shows full of energy and good vibrations.
