The artist has chosen these musicians who embrace highly personal new languages, artists who like to take risks and explore new concepts and niches as yet unexplored. In this session we’ll be able to enjoy three original, imaginative and always surprising acts. One is the pianist, composer, singer and improviser Bru Ferri, a multi-disciplinary artist who also works in performing arts and audiovisual media and is part of the team at the renowned Konvent Punt Zero cultural centre, in the Berguedà region. Canciones de camastro i cuna (2023) is his latest album. He’ll be joined by Lisbon-born jazz vocalist Marta Garrett. After studying and training in cities such as Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Tokyo, Garrett is now based in Barcelona, where she presented her album Un a Un, spanning ten years of experiences from travelling the world, with songs such as a cover of Lluís Llach’s Abril 74. Barcelona native and double-bass player Juan Pastor rounds out the evening. You may have heard him at the Terrassa Jazz Festival, at one of Barcelona’s prestigious jazz venues or elsewhere.
