Once again, the theatre at Parallel Avenue is a musical epicenter of the festival, offering a particularly diverse and stimulating programme that ranges from new wave to jazz, through pop and Brazilian sounds and songs.
The Chilean singer, composer and instrumentalist settled in Mexico was known in 2016 with Mon Laferte Vol. 1, but in only three years she has already become one of the greatest musicians in Latin America, after walking through genres ranging from blues rock and indie pop to alternative sounds and even bolero. Albums like La trenza have just raised her prestige, with songs like Amárrame, which have been heard everywhere and earned her all kinds of awards and nominations. Since 2018 she has presented themes (Before you, The Kiss ...) as part of her new album, a work that is entitled Norma (a double reference to her real name, Norma Monserrat Bustamante Laferte and to the rules followed by love) and it is a conceptual album that talks about the different stages of a love relationship.
