For the first time in our country after the show’s New York premiere, Maria del Mar Bonet, one of the greatest and most firmly established Mediterranean voices, and Miguel Poveda, one of the most talented up-and-coming young Flamenco singers, present Els treballs i els dies. Els treballs i els dies provides a unique opportunity to hear the voices of Maria del Mar Bonet and Miguel Poveda in a production featuring traditional music and Mediterranean musical forms. Polyrhythmic sounds, the oral tradition, work songs, romances, dances… forms which all take different paths to reach the same meeting-place. This is a show based on memory and tradition, imbued with austere strength and power alloyed to the deepest feelings.
