L'últim cabaret

Fear, prejudice, stigma, taboo... There is no way to talk about death without a shiver running down our spines. But there is someone willing to pay tribute to the one great truth in life: an artist in the purest tradition of creative outsiders, the life and soul of the Centre Cultural Imaginari Kiku Mistu since 1995. Having recently celebrated his fumphty-somethingth birthday, Kiku Mistu ransacks his rich creative world in order to talk to us about death. He does this in an exhibition that will be open from July 1 to 18 and in which a coffin can turn any piece of furniture you can imagine. From July 8 to 12 July, moreover, we are invited to a performance that gives us the chance to attend our own funeral. This is when the courtyard of the Pati Manning will be converted into a great funeral cabaret at which we can try the experience of occupying a "cabaret coffin" to enjoy Kiku Mistu’s music and songs, as well as his poetic and philosophical reflections.
