In 2021 Love of Lesbian will be releasing the long-awaited follow-up to El poeta Halley (2016), an album entitled V.E.H.N., an acronym for Viaje épico hacia la nada. The presentation tour will be a high point in the band's career, as in addition to performing at major festivals and in cities across Spain,it will take them to some of the major European cities as well (London, Edinburgh, Paris, Berlin, Brussels and Geneva), and also to Latin American countries where they are becoming increasingly popular, such as Mexico, Chile, Peru, Colombia and Argentina, plus a first visit to the USA, where they will play more than 25 concerts.
Love of Lesbian became a familiar sight on our stages at the turn of the century, and between 2000-2010 they built up a discography and a personality all of their own that has made them a truly unique band. In 2009 they released an iconic album, 1999 (o cómo generar incendios de nieve con una lupa enfocando la luna). From then on, they became well-known to the general public, touring with great success in Spain, and soon after in London and South America as well, even winning a Latin Grammy.
The band consolidated their position as a standard bearer for national pop with their two subsequent albums: La noche eterna/Los días no vividos (2012) and El poeta Halley (2016). Capable of filling large venues such as the WiZink Center in Madrid and the Sant Jordi Club in Barcelona (twice) in 2017, in recent years they have made a name for themselves on the Mexican music scene, where they starred in two editions of the Vivelatino Festival (2014 and 2018), in Monterrey, Guadalajara and Ciudad Juárez, and also in Mexico City where tickets for their concert at the Auditorio Nacional (10,000 seats), sold out. With huge public success in Lima, Medellín, Bogotá, Santiago de Chile and Buenos Aires, today the group is one of the biggest Spanish bands in Latin America.
