To live or not to live / To like or not to like

What is beauty and what does it have to do with political control and dissidence? You’ll find out in an activity starring a group of young performers.

Maybe you’ve never thought about it, but the idea we have of beauty constitutes an especially powerful tool for political control. It is strengthened by social media, although these same control tools can also serve dissidence. You will understand this perfectly as you watch the initiative featuring a group of young people in a non-theatrical space where different questions will be put to the audience. What are the canons of beauty that we do and don’t accept? What kind of life do we want to live?

The experience programmed this year carries on from what audiences could see at the 2021 Grec Festival.

A Festival Escena Poblenou and Cia. Ada Vilaró production, in collaboration with the Joan Brossa Foundation and Projecte Ingenu.

A project subsidised by the Cultural Initiative Support Office attached to the Catalan Ministry of Culture, Tarragona City Council and Barcelona City Council.
