Once again, the theatre at Parallel Avenue is a musical epicenter of the festival, offering a particularly diverse and stimulating programme that ranges from new wave to jazz, through pop and Brazilian sounds and songs.
His name is David Ian Jackson, but everyone knows him as Joe Jackson, one of the essential references of the new wave with Elvis Costello and David Byrne. An artist with extraordinary versatility, he has entered rhythms ranging from reggae, jump-blues and salsa, to rhythm and blues and contemporary registers. He has edited about twenty albums, the last is called Fool and he is taking it on tour scenarios around the world with his Four Decade Tour. He, thus, celebrates a long and diverse career with an album that tells us about comedy and tragedy and how they intertwine in our lives in rather surprising ways.
A production of The Projectyi Houston Party.
Musical interpretation: Teddy Kumpel (guitar), Doug Yowell (drums), Graham Maby (bass)
