Nine years after announcing their breakup, this Minorcan band return to the stage to give a one-off mini-tour. The Grec Festival hosts a musical journey through the back catalogue of an essential name in the history of Catalan pop-rock.
Salt, Barcelona and Ciutadella... These are the three venues where the band formed by Cris Juanico, Sebastià Saurina, Carles Pons, Sente Fontestad and Jesús Moll will relive the finest moments in their long love affair with their fans. The choice is no chance thing: it was in Salt (where they also played in May last year) that Ja t’ho dire grew as a group and became a truly professional band; all the band members hail from Ciutadella, where they will play on July 19 July, and the town is also the main source of musical and literary inspiration behind their songs; and they have many followers in Barcelona, where, since the band formed in 1986, they have built up a huge fanbase thanks to albums like Moviments salvatges and Un ram de locura, to name but two of their biggest hits. The show at the Grec will be a poignant, joyful (and one-off) chance to hear, once more, the best-love songs produced by one of the most sorely-missed bands in the recent history of Catalan music.
