Welcome to the first international symposium at which four stand-up comics will give advice about work, the family, men and friendship.
When you enter this congress, a sticker will be attached to your lapel and you will be given all the material you need. But don’t worry, this time it will not be an effort to stay awake, because the four speakers on the programme are anything but boring. In fact, the advice these stand-ups will give you – illustrated by examples, graphic material and who knows whether a PowerPoint presentation or two – will prepare you to confront one of the most universal concerns amongst women and – albeit indirectly – men. Take your seat, and learn, amongst other things, how to analyse your workmates’ personality according to their lunchbox, how to study your ex’s Facebook page to find out whether they are getting on better than you, and how to escape the grasp of friends who feel they have a right to more from you.
