Rock and traditional folklore fuse in a concert that is “high in alcohol content”. In fact, this show by Goran Bregovi? and his band is divided into two parts: the first, named “Sljivovica” in honour of a popular Balkan drink (plum brandy), establishes the closest connections with music from that area of Europe; the second, entitled “Champagne”, includes a concerto for violin, a Balkan brass band, six male voices and a chamber orchestra. In short, a musical extravaganza staged by one of the best known Balkan musicians, a composer who has written scores for films by such directors as Patrice Chéreau, Emir Kusturica and Radu Mihaelanu as well as for stage shows.
