El perseguidor

Whilst Julio Cortázar was looking for a protagonist for a story, the saxophonist Charlie Parker was dying, and it was the musician’s obituary that decided the writer to turn him into a fictional character. The story of Johnny, naïve and contradictory, desperately pursuing a music that does not exist, is narrated by Bruno, a jazz critic, writer and seeker of fame and fortune who witnesses Johnny’s existential anguish at first hand.
Cortázar and Parker provide the material for a show which seeks to generate emotion, one in which text and music are interwoven into a continuous dialogue.
