Some of the youngest and most talented performers in Catalonia present an evening devoted to vocal music, giving audiences the chance to see two groups that found fame thanks to their appearances on the TV3 programme Oh Happy Day.
The female voice dominates in both In Crescendo and Cantabile; there are just three male voices in the former group, and all these artistes are aged between 16 and 24. Founded specifically to take part in the TV3 competition, which they won, In Crescendo perform a modern, innovative repertoire, painstakingly arranged in a show full of energy and feeling. They are accompanied this evening by Cantabile, a choir of girls aged from 16 to 30 founded in 1999 at the Cercle de Gràcia. Cantabile also took part in the television competition, reaching the final. The basis of their repertoire is formed by pop and well-known songs from films and musicals. Featuring dance routines, short sketches and projections, they put on quite a show.
