Febre, the latest creation by Membros, is a new exploration of violence featuring choreography by Taís Vieira. This Fever, the second part of a trilogy that began with Raio-X, examines violence from a more general, symbolic standpoint, seeing the body as a political instrument, so that gesture and movement become reflections of all the pain in the world. On a set as jarring to the spectator as it is poetic, the work reflects on asymmetric North-South relations with a soundtrack based on the classics, Brazilian popular music and Carioca funk. Is this a provocation, a show or a scream?
