No one should think that the title is an accident. A Ciegas (“Blindly”) is an unusual piece by any standards, both for its approach to the senses and its content. The dialogues in this work, at times humorous, at others deadly serious, will puzzle the spectator until the bitter end. To quote the playwright Jesús Campos, winner of the 2001 National Prize for Dramatic Literature, “to create is to break the rules”.
