More than thirty musicians and forty singers take to the stage, for the first time in Barcelona, a mythical title in the history of musicals, a romantic and passionate score turned into a large-scale show in concert version.
After achieving unprecedented success with Oklahoma!, the artistic pair formed by the librettist Oscar Hammerstein II and the composer Richard Rodgers premiered on Broadway in 1945 a second piece of joint work. An adapted story by the Hungarian author Feren Molnárc about a tough tradesman in love with a young worker. Both are going to live together, but the scandal that involves a love considered immoral at that time, causes them to lose their jobs. But the girl is pregnant and the protagonist, Billy Bigelow, to ensure a future of the young girl and the baby to be born, embarks on a theft of tragic consequences. It is a story of love and second chances full of classic themes in the history of musicals that range from If I Loved You to You'll Never Walk Alone.
Daniel Anglès y Xavier Torras take for the first time live to the Barcelona scene, a musical that takes the form of a large-scale show, with a massive musical set on stage, a luxury cast headed by Nina and Miquel Fernández... and a world of overflowing emotions that will move you in the way that only the classics of the musical can do it.
