The Grec kicks off, and the whole city celebrates with a mix of magic and poetry at the hand of the aerial visual theatre group Theater Tol, the Catalan rumba and rock of La Troba Kung-Fú and the fusion of flamenco, reggae and ska of Canteca de Macao. You are all welcome.
Cumbia and other Latin rhythms, rock, ska, flamenco and even rumba. These are just some of the sounds you will recognise as you listen to Canteca de Macao, a band that have made fusion and partying their raison d’être over a career spanning ten years. Their sound will captivate you and, be warned, you won’t be able to keep your feet from tapping in time as you listen to tracks from the band’s latest album, Nunca es tarde which, by the way, was funded online by donations from their many fans.
