Over six nights, the Big & Black Jamboree season presents three of the great bands that truly define this legendary jazz club in a programme that also features two of the most outstanding black female voices in their respective generations and styles.
Supported by the Capibola Blues association, the Barcelona Big Blues Band (B4) takes inspiration from 1940s dance orchestras and smaller jump blues or rhythm & blues bands. B4 is an energy-packed big band that plays straight-up, danceable music, though with a touch of blues, performing a broad repertoire of classics with their own arrangements. For this session, the band are joined by a truly special guest: the singer Myriam Swanson.
