Where does dream begin and reality end? You cannot help but wonder as you watch this theatre/dance show with its disturbing, cinematic sonic atmosphere.
A small, isolated community with only a few rickety campers for shelter, its inhabitants confronted by their own loneliness. Here, customs and traditions are law. The spectator discovers the personalities and motivations of these characters as they interact in this gripping, fascinating and disturbing space. In it, the performers transport us to a dreamlike world against a backdrop provided by a huge cyclorama that represents the limitless sky. Gradually, we become submerged in a sound atmosphere that takes its inspiration from the cinema. The score includes a disturbing version of Stravinsky’s The Firebird, arranged for theremin, an electric instrument invented in 1919 and found on many soundtracks.
A production from a Brussels-based company that specialises in creating magical atmospheres that blur the boundaries between dream and reality.
