Podcast

What better way to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Matrix, which transformed the genre under the direction of the Wachowski sisters and is considered one of the best and most influential science-fiction films of the past quarter century, than by attending a live show of Marea Nocturna, described by Berto Romero as the best fantastic/genre cinema podcast on the scene? Critic, journalist and 42 Award winner Desirée de Fez, Sitges Festival director Àngel Sala, assistant event director and professor Jordi Sánchez Navarro, and cinema critic Xavi Sánchez Pons will treat 42 Festival attendees to a special edition of their Ràdio Primavera Sound podcast. In addition to the show’s usual content, this 42 Festival-themed edition will feature an hour-long look at the relevance and legacy of Neo, Morpheus, Trinity and Agent Smith in a time in which the artificial intelligence boom is constantly bringing them to mind, for better or for worse. A one-of-a-kind event, free and open to all, for anyone interested in following the white rabbit with Marea Nocturna.

Guests:

Desirée de Fez

Àngel Sala

Jordi Sánchez Navarro

Xavi Sánchez Pons

*Organised in collaboration with Ràdio Primavera Sound
