The exhibition presents the projects developed by postgraduate students on the Master’s in Production and Artistic Research at UB, as part of the Intermedia Art and Contexts course. With a specific focus on its multi-disciplinary nature, it emphasises cross-disciplinary, dialectic discursive expressions and experimental production practices, in the expansion and research of the arts.
The works exhibited emerge from research that challenges alterations of plural contexts: decoding cultural transfers, questioning territorial dynamics and daily routines and revealing new spaces for thought. Other approaches dismantle the sound of the ways of seeing, search for the unknown valuing what is unpredictable, discovering the camouflage of emotions, deconstructing the object's identity and revealing the memory of materials, in new consciences of virtual time.
Young national and foreign university creators come together, some of whom have held residencies at the Art Factory of Barcelona - Fabra i Coats where they have developed their Final Masters Projects, in a compilation of exploration processes of the world and critical thinking.
The transfer of results of this artistic research is shown in this exhibition at the Contemporary Art Centre of Barcelona - Fabra i Coats, thanks to a collaboration agreement between UB and ICUB, which fosters cultural transfer in the city.
