Inoculation Ritual

Our relationship with microorganisms is constant and intimate. Without knowing it, each day we feed, carry and share our bodies with millions of bacteria and fungi that cannot be seen with the naked eye. For this inoculation ritual, we will fill a Petri dish, two metres in diameter, with the substance necessary to host and nourish the microorganisms that we carry clinging to our skin. These will be left to grow on their own for the duration of the exhibition. The landscapes created day after day by the microorganisms confront us with an unknown image of our bodies and the place we occupy in the universe.

Activity led by artists Xesca Salvà and Marc Villanueva, accompanied by biologists Montse Bayés and Marc Llirós.
