Aperitif with Julia Montilla

Appearance of the artist at the foot of the work "Un mundo basado en la evidencia" (A world based on evidence) (2012).

For this aperitif we'll be talking to the artist of the pathologisation of the malaise or the development of the pharmaceutical industry via her piece "Un mundo basado en la evidencia” (A world based on evidence), and we'll be discussing psychiatry's construction of categories of nosology based on art.

Julia Montilla (Barcelona, 1970) graduated in Fine Art (Universitat de Barcelona, 1994) and has a Master in Art Productions and Research (UB, 2012). She's taken part in exhibitions at the PS1-MoMa (New York), the Centre de Fotografia (Salamanca), La Virreina and l'Espai 13.
