Observations:
The explosion from a bomb dropped during the civil war destroyed three houses in the square, which was much smaller at the time, but the church and the convent, although damaged, were saved. The rosewoods were planted in the ruined areas. When the land was rebuilt and the present dimensions of the square were established, the rebuilt façades- from buildings of the old Barcelona- fenced in the square, the fountain and the rosewoods, thus creating a new peaceful, silent, poetical and historically respectful atmosphere.
