 Visual and written accounts have given us an extensive explanation of what Barcelona was like in the 1950s. A city whose light still shone, but which had more than its share of silence and greyness too. We were familiar with it through photographs, novels and other writings, but now we have the chance to discover it through the brushes and watercolours of the Barcelona painter Frederic Lloveras (1912-1983). A body of work previously hidden in the world of collections but which everybody can now enjoy. A set of watercolours which deserve to be known.
