Exhibitions
The Greenhouse hosts outreach activities focused on plants, biodiversity and gardening with the goal of giving the building life and continued used by getting both families and adults involved.
The activities include exhibitions and launches of books or other publications related to the building's areas of knowledge, such as urban ecology guides.
They are public, nonprofit initiatives which seek to foster knowledge of the natural environment, as well as the cultural and historical heritage of the Greenhouse and the city.
The Greenhouse is also planning to offer guided tours that provide visitors a unique opportunity to explore this emblematic structure and its biodiversity.

The Climate Machine exhibition
From 7 June to 8 December 2024, at the Hivernacle in Parc de la Ciutadella.
The aim of the exhibition, organised by the Municipal Institute of Parks and Gardens, is to show us the past and future of greenhouses, and particularly those in the Parc de la Ciutadella’s Hivernacle. It also takes a look at the greenhouse effect and climate change and shows the role that greenhouses and hydroponic production might play in the future of cities.
