Les Corts Noves came into being in the middle of the 19th century with the construction of the Esglèsia del Remei and the development of the Plaça de la Concòrdia, and the surrounding area, running between Carrer d'Anglesola, Plaça de la Concòrdia and Carrer del Remei, Carrer de Galileu, Carrer de la Travessera and Carrer Numància, which today make up the heart of Les Corts and reflect the identity of this neighbourhood.
