Barcelona’s heart beats in its neighbourhoods and this book is an invitation to get to know the La Verneda neighbourhood in Sant Martí through Daniel Castro Alonso’s illustrations. You’ll discover a neighbourhood that has fought to maintain its dignity, with a heritage that includes gems such as the famous Gabriel García Márquez Library, plus a large and vital network of civic and sports clubs such as Jupiter, one of Barcelona's oldest clubs. You’ll also get to know examples of its folk culture, among others the two giant figures Dolça and Martí or the festival beast “Espiadimonis”.
