This book is an account of daily life at the Avillar Chavorros school, which set out to integrate the Romany boys and girls of Can Tunis into society while at the same time respecting their own identity and culture. The school, like the rest of the neighbourhood, no longer exists today, making this book even more essential in keeping alive the memory of the hard work and illusion of so many people that made this school different.
