Tere Badia has a BA in Art History from the University of Barcelona (UB) and an MA in Information and Knowledge Society from the Open University of Catalonia (UOC).

Since university, she has devoted herself to cultural production and research on cultural policies, visual arts and innovation. She has worked as a curator of contemporary art projects and exhibitions, as well as lecturing at the IDEP (Graphic Design School), Barcelona.

Between 2010 and 2018, she was the director of Hangar – centre for artistic production and research in Barcelona – and since 2018 she has been the secretary-general of Culture Action Europe, the European association of cultural networks comprised of artists, activists and representatives of culture’s academic sphere, which seeks to broaden access to and participation in this sector.
