Research presented in the academic congress session “Cultural Participation and Work I: Material conditions and living conditions of culture artists and professionals: what can be done to improve them?”

The research analyses Directive (EU) 2019/790, of 17 April 2019, on copyright and associated rights in the digital single market. More specifically, concerning the two contractual tools described by that directive – the act of revision and the right of cancellation -, questioning their usefulness in being able to guarantee that authors and artists are able to receive appropriate remuneration while ensuring adequate material conditions for their professional life and dignity.
