Els darrers anys hem viscut un gran auge del feminisme. Moltes coses semblen estar canviant. Però fins a quin punt el cinema contemporani està reflectint aquests canvis? En aquesta sessió parlarem de pel·lícules que proposen noves visions de la dona i la feminitat; de The Assistant (2019) a Barbie (2023); de Súper empollonas (2019) a Poor Things (2023).

Durant dècades, el cinema va estereotipar l'imatge de la dona a partir de la visió masculina de la feminitat. Així, a les pel·lícules clàssiques poden identificar-se molt clarament tres tipus de dona: la mare amorosa, la vamp devora homes i la joveneta ingènua. En aquesta sessió veurem com es constitueixen aquests estereotips a pel.lícules com A Fool There Was (1915), Metrópolis (1926), La loba (1941) o Mujercitas (1949).
