Barcelona Cuida, with the collaboration of the Paliaclínic Foundation, open a new weekly space for group support and self-care for domestic workers and caregivers.
The Covid19 pandemic, decreed as a global health emergency, has accentuated inequalities and crisis situations, making death even more tragic with effects on mental health.
From this perspective, Barcelona Cuida, with the collaboration of the Paliaclínic Foundation, promote the space “Let’s take care of ourselves in the grieving processes” to work on the grieving processes that domestic workers and caregivers who have experienced the death of the person they were accompanying, a fact that may also have led to the loss of their job.
This set of losses generates a great emotional impact and stress that must be identified, recognized and accompanied. The space “Let’s take care of ourselves in the processes of mourning” wants to generate a process of self-care in which to express feelings and emotions among equals for domestic workers and women who live or work in the city of Barcelona.
It is a weekly space every Thursday where you will find resources and training to learn about the grieving process and also to learn to accompany close people in this process. It will be available from October 21 to December 16 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the Barcelona Cuida Space (C. Viladomat, 127). Registration is free and to sign up you have to call 934 132 121.
