The Barcelona Care Center joins the day with the “Music Boxes” workshop, promoted by the association “Llars de Criança”. It is aimed at diverse families and caregivers with children aged 0-3. A child with an adult is recommended.
The ‘World of Children’s Day’ is celebrated every November 20 to commemorate the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child by the United Nations on November 20, 1989. It stipulates the basic human rights that children must enjoy everywhere, without any discrimination: the right to survival; to full development; to protection against dangerous influences, against abuse and exploitation; and to full participation in family, cultural and social life.
A proposal to bring songs and music to children
The workshop “Music boxes” will be taught by Noemí Duran, day mother of the Nursery “Parauletes d’amor”, which will show children and their families a different way to approach the songs and the music through small objects hidden in amazing boxes will take place on Saturday 20 November from 10.30 am to 11.30 am in the Barcelona Cuida space (Carrer Viladomat 127) Registrations can be made until November 12 by sending an email to coordinacio@llarsdecriança.cat or by calling 655.77.57.48.
The proposal serves so that children, their families and caregivers can learn music through songs, work on concepts of relationship and association, exercise memory. Families and caregivers will be able to build a music box with a basket or shoe box and put inside small objects, cloth bags, photographs, images, drawings, etc. related to a specific song and prepare it together with the children then play with it.
