Science days 2018
On 9 November 2018, Barcelona held the first science day in the framework of ‘Days for Climate’, a series of activities aimed at citizens and institutions to highlight the commitments made and initiatives performed by the city to tackle the effects of climate change.
The event consisted of a series of round tables led by different contributors to reports on how climate change may affect Barcelona, specifically related to the following aspects:
- How climate change affects health (linked to rising temperatures and other factors).
- Anticipated changes in the city's natural environment (green spaces and biodiversity).
- Risks to the smooth running of the city (water and energy).
- Research and management of the city.
