The Library-Study is the room where, as Museum Director, Frederic Marès had his office and received visitors. It conserved his library, personal objects, certificates and acknowledgements, historic documents from his and the Museum’s collections as well as part of his own sculptural work, which was donated to the City of Barcelona in 1988.This unique, lived-in room was specifically designed in 1964, and it wasn’t opened to visitors until 1996, five years after his death.
On November 25, 2018, the new museographic presentation was inaugurated in the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the official opening of the Museum.
