The Barcelona Institute of Culture (ICUB) works with the Municipal Institute for People with Disabilities (IMPD) in order to ensure that everyone is able to attend the city's cultural events.
As part of the process of becoming an open museum, so that everyone has access to culture, the Museu Etnològic i de Cultures del Món's Montcada Venue has:

Permanent exhibition
- Notebook in Braille with a plan of the exhibition.
- Graphics with typefaces and colours specifically for people with impaired vision.
- Audio guide with audio description, subtitles (Catalan, Spanish, English and French) and sign language (Catalan and Spanish) for the most outstanding pieces.
- Touch stations with reproductions of pieces from the permanent exhibition within reach of the public, with information in Braille and an audio guide.
- Graphics with typefaces and colours specifically for people with impaired vision.
Temporary exhibitions
- Notebook with a relief plan of the exhibition and exhibition texts in Braille and in large letters.
- Spaces and furniture designed to facilitate wheelchair mobility.

Mediation
The Museu Etnològic i de Cultures del Món collaborates with the Apropa Cultura project, which offers cultural activities at affordable prices for people at risk of social exclusion and people with disabilities.
Prices
The Museu Etnològic i de Cultures del Món offers discounts or free admission to people with disabilities who have the Targeta Rosa Reduïda or the Targeta Rosa Gratuïta discount cards. Furthermore, free admission is granted to people who have the Metropolitan pass for companions of a person with disabilities.
Guide dogs are allowed access to the building and the exhibition halls.
Multimedia guide
The multimedia guide is a device that provides an improved performance of traditional audio guides, as it broadcasts information on the permanent exhibition in various formats (text, images, video and audio).
- You can rent one for €3, at the museum's reception desk along with the admission fee. The guides are free for people with visual or hearing impairments.
- The device is collected from, and returned to, the reception desk.
