La barcelonina Cia. Sol Picó will be celebrating her 30th anniversary of performing at La Mercè with the show Carrer 024, featuring the powerfully emotive staging that is now her trademark.
Through the language of contemporary dance, the performers in Carrer 024 speak of one of the great paradoxes of today's society: loneliness. How can it be that on an increasingly populated planet we feel more alone than ever?
This large-scale work invites us to reflect on concepts such as individualism and collective life, valuing memory and experience over feelings of isolation and emptiness. A compelling work that is both necessary and moving.
