The festival will begin with the first figures in plaça Nova, where the Falcons de Barcelona will meet up with the Falcons de Piera to begin their traditional street parade packed with energy. This vibrant parade will take the two groups as far as plaça de Sant Jaume, passing through plaça Nova and carrer del Bisbe, and inviting spectators to join in with the celebrations and enjoy the final display.

With the upbeat sounds of grallers and tabalers (players and drummers) providing the music, the Falcons will be assembling their impressive human structures to the rhythm of melodies such as La polca d’ours, Set salts and Lo tio Pep, filling our streets with life and joy.

The Falcons de Barcelona and Falcons de Piera will be just one of the many traditional processions making their way around Ciutat Vella on the Saturday of La Mercè. In all, eight acts will be making their way around the streets and squares, filling the city with music, dance and tradition.
